Abstract
Cultural examination of a collection of 7 fruiting-bodies of Schizophyllum fasciatum from Mexico revealed the sp. to be tetra-polar and to have multiple factors in each series of incompatibility factors, A and B. Cultural characteristics and intermycelial reactions closely resemble those of S. commune, although there is no interaction between strains of the 2 spp., even when crosses are forced by means of biochemical mutations upon minimal medium. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
