Abstract
A review of the recent advances in the knowledge of hypoglycemia is briefly presented, including idiopathic hypoglycemia in infants and children, islet-cell adenomatosis and its association with a similar pathologic process in the parathyroid glands, the effects of hypoglycemia on the spinal cord with the occurrence of a clinical syndrome simulating progressive muscular atrophy and the occurrence of a new type of functioning islet-cell tumor histologically simulating sarcoma.Keywords
