Allergic contact dermatitis to epoxy resin in ostomy bags

Abstract
Six ostomy patients presenting with peristomal rashes have been shown to be allergic to their ostomy bags and to epoxy resin. Subsequent investigation confirmed the presence in the bags of low molecular weight epoxy resin oligomers, which are known as potent contact sensitizers.Keywords
