Abstract
Interest in the relationships between the pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of antimicrobial agents has increased over recent years. Since the appearance 2 years ago of our first article describing terminology in PK/PD, the field has continued to expand rapidly, urgently requiring an update. This paper describes in a uniform manner the use of PK/PD expressions for antimicrobial agents, and their units. Keywords
