Abstract
A method for the estimation of organic phosphate in urine was described. The improvements over the older methods were: (1) it was more rapid; (2) the precipitation of the inorganic phosphate took place in a less alkaline medium; (3) an improved method for the colorimetric detn. of phosphate was used; (4) an inorganic phosphate detn. on the filtrate was made to ensure that complete precipitation was effected. Results obtained, using this method, on normal and pathological human urines were presented. A diet rich in organic phosphate definitely raised the excretion of organic phosphate in the urine. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
