Abstract
The energy‐loss neutron inelastic scattering spectra for HCoO2 and HCrO2 are reported in the range 300–1400 cm−1 (optically), and the far infrared spectra of the compounds in the range 50–400 cm−1. The data obtained combined with that from other techniques provide supporting evidence for Snyder and Ibers' assignment of a symmetric hydrogen bond in HCrO2.Keywords
