Abstract
Under the experimental conditions used, the difference in potential between maternal and fetal bloods in goats was determined to be + 133 mv at fetal age 79 days and gradually decreased to + 25 mv at fetal age 131 days. The chorionic membrane appears to be the source of the electromotive force that creates the difference in potential across the placenta. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
