Abstract
Gravity meter readings taken at sea are disturbed by the motion of the ship and thus involve accelerations thousands of times greater than the permissible error. These accelerations must be averaged out and/or correction made for them. A meter which allows this to be done is described, and data obtained on a surface ship are presented with such checks as were available. Keywords
