Abstract
Multiple linear regression equations are derived for the estimation of rainfall variables, specifically mean annual rainfall, from three physiographic variables, namely, altitude, longitude and exposure. The relationships can be used to estimate mean annual catchment rainfal1s which can then provide a weighting factor to correct daily or monthly station records for input to conceptual catchment models. Keywords
