Abstract
Manoilov by modifying various mixtures of reagents has discovered methods by which he holds that races, sexes, and sp. can be differentiated chemically. While under certain conditions correct results may apparently be obtained, these tests, which are likely to be influenced by modifications of the organic material present or by changes in the metabolic level of the individual, may also prove of doubtful value. Possibly Manoilov detects the different rates of oxidation and that the rates of oxidation are correlated with the metabolism in the different races and sp. If this is true, then it would seem to be only a matter of modifying the metabolic level to obtain the desired test. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
