Abstract
The renormalisation of the non-Abelian theories is studied in the light of the dual BRS identity. It is shown that, unlike the BRS case, the dual BRS identity and ghost equation of motion are not equivalent to the Slavnov-Taylor (Taylor 1971, Slavnov 1972) identity. As a consequence of this, the gauge field self-energy cannot be shown to be transverse. However, another identity is derived which, when combined with the dual BRS identity and the omega ghost equation of motion, is equivalent to the Slavnov-Taylor identity. Keywords
