The Salamander Plethodon richmondi in Southwestern Ohio

Abstract
The habitat of the salamander Plathodon richmondi is descr. as wooded slopes where there are limestone rocks imbedded in the talus. These salamanders are most active in Oct. and Nov. and again in the early spring, and they can readily be found throughout the winter months. Examination of stomach contents revealed a wide variety of invertebrates, mostly ants and sow bugs. The eggs of the species are described for the first time, and there is a discussion of the relative growth of the sp.
