Abstract
The mathematical structure of the dynamical theory for the soft-spin version of the -spin-interaction () spin-glass model is related to that for the dynamical theories of the structural glass transition. The phase transitions predicted by both theories are discussed. The spin-glass transition predicted by the dynamical theory is related to a broken-replica-symmetry equilibrium calculation.
