Nonlinear stabilization of oscillating two-stream instability

Abstract
It is shown that the basic nonlinear effect associated with the oscillating two-stream instability is a downshift of the natural frequencies of electron plasma waves. As a result, conversion of this instability to a decay instability can take place.Keywords
