Abstract
In a study of nonprotein nitrogen, total protein albumin, and globulin levels in 25 patients with hydatidiform mole, serum creatinine and urea concentrations were found to be significantly increased and total protein and albumin levels decreased. These levels, compared with those found among 150 healthy women in the first trimester of pregnancy, appear to confirm reports that protein deficiencies favor occurrence of hydatidiform mole.
