Abstract
The behaviour of motor vehicles in frontal impacts has been investigated through the use of geometrically similar models. A large number of thin-walled cylinders have been impact-tested to establish scaling criteria and it was considered that models could be usefully employed in predicting full-size vehicle behaviour. Keywords
