Abstract
This review presents a critical, annotated and illustrated catalogue, which brings together and summarizes all the available information on the taxonomy of Proctotrupoidea from India. Over 170 species, belonging to 69 genera, and a series of undescribed species of these genera are dealt with. Synoptic keys to families, subfamilies, tribes, genera and species, with notes on diagnostic characters and distribution arc included. Many genera are redefined and correctly placed and are recorded for the first time from India. Twenty plates of line drawings are included. No attempt is made to elucidate synonymies. This review should serve as the basis for future taxonomic revisions. Keywords
