Abstract
In a previous paper (Krafka, 1923) the Leptoceridæ were taken as the stem form in the order Trichoptera on the basis of the structure of the larval heads. If this hypothesis be correct, some degree of correlation should be found in the development of the organs of the thorax and abdomen. These studies have been made and much confirmatory data has been found. On the basis of the new phylogeny, the homologies of the schlerites of the prolegs, caudal hooks or dragging-hooks becomes relatively simple.
