Abstract
Cardiac luxation caused by blunt thoracic trauma carries a high mortality rate. We present a case of traumatic diaphragmatic rupture, in combination with herniation of the stomach into the pericardial sac, pericardial rupture, and cardiac luxation. The recent literature is reviewed and diagnostic difficulties and procedures are discussed. Keywords
