Abstract
Two patients who received renal transplants developed erosions or ulcers in the upper gastrointestinal tract. In both cases endoscopic evaluation enabled a diagnosis of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection to be made quickly and safely. We emphasize the importance of early diagnosis of CMV infection and how endoscopy may be helpful. Keywords
