Abstract
A corner of a ReO3 single crystal was used as the tip for scanning tunneling microscopy (STM). The atomic arrays of graphite and ReO3 were easily observed. The image of the emissive area is round in the former and polygonal in the latter, reflecting, perhaps, the electron distribution in the uppermost band. Keywords
