Abstract
Curriculum recommendations restricting the use of the Bible in teaching often appeal to Piaget for support. Reservations are expressed concerning the suitability of a Piagetian model for such an appeal and about the extent to which past research, notably Goldman 1962, Peatling 1973 and, to a lesser extent, Murphy 1979 have really understood and applied Piaget successfully. Keywords
