Abstract
In a comparison of C. albicans fungemia, peritonitis and s.c. infection in normal and severely uremic rats, uremia did not affect the course of these infections. C. albicans is an important pathogen in immunocompromised hosts; uremia is unlikely to be the primary factor that increases host susceptibility to infection with this fungus.This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
