Abstract
Pulse methods are applied to extend the measurements of second sound velocity in liquid helium II to a temperature of 0.86°K. The rise in velocity below 1.1°K observed by Peshkov is verified and extended to lower temperature. The theoretical implications are discussed. Keywords
