Abstract
This aberrant form of P. anserina is characterized by gigantism, sterile pollen, and lack of fruit formation. The heterotypic division shows bivalents and univalents, chromosome lagging, irregular chromosome distribution, and formation of micronuclei. The homotypic division discloses further abnormalities in chromosome conduct, resulting frequently in polycary. Meiotic irregularities are explained as arising from either qualitative or quantitative dissimilarity of the parental chromosomes. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
