A Full Year Internship: An Example of School- University Collaboration

Abstract
In the thirteen years of experience with a five-year program at the University of New Hampshire, the authors have found that most students progress in a predict able pattern through five areas of con cern during an internship. Knowledge of these five areas (Immersion, Adjust ment, Expansion, Analysis, and Autono my) has allowed them to plan an inte grated curriculum, combining the interns' experience with appropriate supervision and a supportive seminar.
