Observation of a New $D_{s J}$ Meson in $B^{+} \to {\bar{D}}^{0} D^{0} K^{+}$ Decays

We report the observation of a new

D_{s J}

meson produced in

B^{+} \to {\bar{D}}^{0} D_{s J} \to {\bar{D}}^{0} D^{0} K^{+}

. This state has a mass of

M = 2708 \pm 9_{- 10}^{+ 11} MeV / c^{2}

, a width

Γ = 108 \pm 23_{- 31}^{+ 36} MeV / c^{2}

and a

1^{-}

spin-parity. The statistical significance of this observation is

8.4 σ

. The results are based on an analysis of

449 \times 10^{6}

B \bar{B}

events collected at the

Υ (4 S)

resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy

e^{+} e^{-}

collider.
