Energy Gaps in the Excitation Spectrum of a Superconductor

Abstract
It is shown, for a particular model where the order parameter is a one-dimensional periodic step function, that the spectrum of the elementary excitations of a superconductor consists of disjunct energy bands, separated by forbidden intervals.
