Abstract
A virilizing, gonadotropin-responsive adrenal cortical adenoma was removed from a 54 yr old woman. Following removal of the tumor, which contained and secreted androgens and estradiol, serum gonadotropins rose to menopausal levels and the patent experienced menopausal symptoms. Preoperative attempts to localize the source of androgens were unsuccessful. This publication has 17 references indexed in Scilit:
