Abstract
A method is described for the assessment of fabric specimens after wrinkling in the dry state in a Celanese Wrinkle Tester. The method employs four sets of graded standards, made from blocks of polyester resin, whose surfaces are replicas of wrinkled fabric characterizing the main aspects of wrinkling—wrinkle depth, sharpness, density and muzziness. The threedimensional standards are compared with, and shown to be more useful than, photographic standards, which were used previously. Keywords
