Abstract
Petroleum ether and chloroform extracts of Salvia aethiopis yielded a hydrocarbon, two steroidal and two flavonoidal compounds. By using UV, 1R and NMR spectral methods, analytical calculations as well as standard sample comparison, the compounds were found to be n-eicosan, β-sitosterol, salvigenin, 5–hydroxy–3–'4,–'7–trimethoxyflavone and sitosteryl–3β–D–glucoside.This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
