Abstract
3,5-Difluorophenylcarbamates and 3,5-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenylcarbamates of cellulose and amylose were prepared and used as chiral stationary phases for high-performance liquid chromatography to resolve optical isomers. Their optical resolving abilities were compared with those of 3,5-dimethylphenylcarbamates and 3,5-dichlorophenylcarbamates of the polysaccharides. 3,5-Difluorophenylcarbamates afforded practically useful columns. Keywords
