Abstract
Heart failure is a frequently encountered disorder with a guarded long-term prognosis. Over the past 25 years, much has been learned about the pathophysiology and management of heart failure. The nursing challenge encompasses analyzing the clinical manifestations, monitoring outcomes of drug therapy, and teaching the patient behaviors to retard the progression of heart failure. Keywords
