Erratum: Concerted Antibiotic Effect of Penicillin, Methionine, Threonine and Methionine Sulfoxide Upon Brucella, Eberthella, Salmonella, and Shigella

Abstract
Small concs. (0.002%) of dithiobiuret taken orally in rats caused paralysis of respiratory muscles and death within 7 days. Withdrawal of the drug allowed full muscle recovery from the paralyzed state. Histologic examination of nervous tissue from paralyzed animals showed no visible damage. Faradic stimulation of motor nerves elicited contraction of paralyzed muscles. No remedial drug was found which improved muscle function.
