Abstract
We investigate the Fermi-liquid parameters and the superconducting instabilities of the t-J model using a systematic large-N expansion. We compare our results with the predictions of the Brinkman-Rice picture. The leading superconducting instability is in the d-wave channel and has cos-cos symmetry and increases with doping.
