Abstract
The problems of stability analysis and design of 3-D recursive filters are discussed in the paper. Two different design techniques are proposed in the first case the 3-D filter is required to approximate a given amplitude function; in the second case linear phase specifications are considered. An example of smoothing of a 3-D binary object is presented with application in computer assisted neurosurgery. Keywords
