Abstract
Minor Congenital Ectodermal Cutaneous Defect in Naevus Linearis Distribution. Presented by Dr. Maurice Costello. B. O. C., a girl aged 6 weeks, at birth presented a linear ulceration on the left upper extremity, beginning over the deltoid muscle at the tip of the acromion process of the scapula and running along the external aspect of the left arm, forearm and wrist and the dorsal surface of the second and the third finger. It was widest at its origin, measuring 1.25 cm., and tapered to its narrowest portion at its most distal point, where its width was about 0.25 cm. It healed in two weeks, the resulting linear scar involving the site of the previous defect. The Wassermann reactions of the blood of both the child and her mother were negative. She is the first child, and there was no trauma at her birth, which was normal. There is no familyThis publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
