Abstract
The theory of drift waves in plasmas containing highly charged impurities (dust) is developed to include such specific features as attraction of dust grains as well as collisions between dust and neutral particles. Nonlinear equations taking into account variations of drift potential together with plasma electron, ion, and neutral densities, as well as dust charges, are obtained. The range of plasma parameters where the effects introduced by dust can trigger the dissipative drift-wave instability is found. Keywords
