Abstract
Presentation of CaseA thirteen-year-old schoolgirl entered the hospital because of obesity.Growth and development were normal until the age of five or six, when a rather sudden onset of obesity was noted. There allegedly had been no excessive caloric intake. At the age of five years she measured 46 1/2 inches in height and weighed 85 pounds; at 6 she measured 50 1/2 inches in height and weighed 92 pounds; and at seven she measured 53 inches in height and weighed 115 pounds. At the age of 10 years, when pubic and axillary hair appeared, the weight was 150 . . .Keywords
