Abstract
The incidence of positive complement-fixation tests to a psittacosis antigen was 23% of a series of 35 patients with positive cat-scratch skin tests, and 60% of 10 cases with histologic diagnoses of cat-scratch disease. No positives were found in 44 patients with negative skin tests. In a control series of serums from normal blood donors, the incidence of positives was 2%. In New Zealand, positive complement-fixation tests are correlated with positive skin tests and with the histologic diagnosis of cat-scratch disease. Keywords
