Abstract
The ingestion of water by weanling rats containing 50 ppm of fluoride and 3 ppm of Se for 28 days did not reduce the amount of fluoride retained in the femurs of the animals compared with the controls using water with only 50 ppm of fluoride. The harmful effect of Se on the caries-preventing action of fluoride probably does not result from a decrease in the uptake of fluoride by teeth. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
