Abstract
The dynamic stability of a mixture containing free radicals is considered. On the basis of a simplified model we estimate a critical free radical concentration, such that any greater concentrations will be able to ignite spontaneously. For nitrogen atoms in a nitrogen molecule lattice this number is of the order of 0.3% under typical conditions. Keywords
