Abstract
Gophacide, also known as Bayer 38819 and DRC-714, has been successfully tested as a pocket gopher control agent. Grain baits containing 0. 1 to 0. 2% Gophacide, properly distributed with a mechanical burrow-builder or hand bait-dispenser, gave good control, often 90% of better, of northern (Thomomys talpoides), plains (Geomys burasrius), southern (Thomomys umbrinus), and valley pocket gophers (Thomomys bottae). As used, hazards to other animals are slight; baits are placed in subsurface burrows and pocket gophers die there. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
