Abstract
GA3, salicylic acid and EDDHA induced flowering in Pistia stratiotes in vitro under short days and conditions of continuous light. It has been hypothesized that EDDHA and salicylic acid bring about the same effect on flowering in Pistia and the duckweed species Lemma gibba G3 whereas the effect of GA3 on the flowering mechanism of these species is basically different. Keywords
