Albumin als Faktor in der Senkungsgeschwindigkeit der Blutkörperchen

Abstract
Albumin is a factor in the rouleaux-formation and in the sedimentation rate of the erythrocytes. Its role can be clearly demonstrated if the erythrocytes are transformed in spherical cells. The most effective sperical factor is lysolecithin; 12 mg% or less of this substance disintegrates the rouleaux and dimishes the sedimentation rate of the erythrocytes to the mlmimum; 5% (weight/vol) bovine-albumin (the most effective disc-factor) restores the original property of the horse serum regarding the rouleaux-formation and the sedimentation rate with horse erythrocytes.
