Abstract
Smooth strains of C. tetani cultured on peptonized blood agar at 17[degree] and strained by the acid Giemsa technic showed nuclear dispositions different from those reported from rough strains. Apparently cell division does not precede sporulation and a reduction division is followed by resorption of half the nucleus into the cytoplasm. Keywords
