Abstract
In the course of this paper the authors have sought to establish the usefulness of the questionnaire as a tool for obtaining information concerning passenger comfort from the passengers themselves. An appropriate questionnaire, developed. at Swansea, has been used as an illustration. Whereas many pitfalls may exist in the- interpretation of the data, it is argued that with careful consideration both of the questionnaire construction and the analysis, useful information may be obtained. Such information may be used as an indicator for further research and as a valid pointer to the subjective feelings of the passenger. Keywords
