Abstract
Aspirin in a dose of 3 g daily by mouth induced definite prolongation of the bleeding time and a decrease in platelet-stickiness in 6 healthy adults and 8 patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The prolongation of the bleeding time was confirmed in a larger sample in a double-blind situation. The implications are discussed. Keywords
