Abstract
A dose of 500 mg. of Aureomycin every 6 hrs. to adults results in serum levels that are consistently well above the in vitro sensitivity of most strains of organisms against which the antibiotic is used. Citric acid is of no value in enhancing serum concn. or in reducing untoward gastrointestinal side effects. Aureomycin may be detected in all body fluids provided the serum concn. is adequate and time is allowed for diffusion. Keywords
