Abstract
The values of the coefficient of internal friction μ and the yield stress σ0 of materials which are used in gaskets of high pressure devices, are given. The mathematical expressions, based on the analysis of the real pressure distribution in the gasket of Bridgman anvils enables one to calculate the gasket geometry and the forces acting on the pistons of the high pressure devices. Keywords
